In the master planning of this prestigious golf estate, the primary goal has been to create an apparently seamless link with the adjacent nature reserve. The Tsitsikamma Coastal Golf Estate is currently under construction overlooking the Tsitsikamma Gorge in the Eastern Cape.
The architectural concept for the Estate has developed as response to the immediate environment surrounding the Estate – the rich coastal forests of the Tsitsikamma. Green Architectural Design Principles have been fundamental in the overall Architectural Language. If the style needs a label, it could be called the “Forest Lodge Style”; an understated design language that will become instantly recognizable and one that will sit comfortably in this unique forested setting. The buildings have been designed in a contemporary style based on traditional and indigenous forest lodge architecture in the area.
The estate will comprise of a 18 hole championship golf course, 500 free hold stands, up-market apartments, a retail and commercial centre and recreation and sport facilities.
Various facilities are located throughout the Estate but generally make up the Estate Centre. These include the Golf Clubhouse, a Luxury State of the art Health Spa and Fitness Centre, a Five Star Boutique Hotel with Garden Suites, a Sports Centre with Tennis Courts, Squash Courts, a Bowling Green and a Swimming Pool. There will also be a 500sq m Convenience Shop, a 1000sq m Business Centre and Medium-Density High End Luxury Apartments.
