The design brief for Green Valley had one objective to create a resort, which will match or surpass competitive foreign destinations overseas, providing the best in five star luxury accommodation, golfing/country club facilities, combined with the first marina complex to be created in Mauritius all within a natural, undeveloped region and while still preserving public beaches and coastal leisure grounds. The architectural style was designed to explore Mauritius’ diverse history thus exposing tourists to its wealth of cultural influences and attractions.
The Marina is the heart of the Green Valley Resort – an impressive waterfront gateway – where visitors will find a safe berth and ceaseless hub of activity, all in the most desirable of Elysian settings. Following the tradition of San Francisco and Cape Town waterfronts but with the scale and intimacy of Portofino, the Green Valley marina will be built around and diffused with the diverse history of its location.
In addition to the Marina, will also be residential components to the scheme – The Marina & Quayside, The French Quarter, The Beach Club Island, Canal Village, Signature Golf Courses & Forest Villas, Mountain Lodge and the Botanical Garden.
